Berdakwah harus dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa yang santun, karena berdakwah merupakan perbuatan untuk menyeru umat manusia kepada jalan yang baik dan benar. Sebab melakukan dakwah dengan menggunakan bahasa-bahasa yang menyinggung perasaan audien dapat menyebabkan dakwah tidak berjalan dengan baik. Bahkan seorang ustadz yang berdakwah dengan bahasa yang tidak sopan akan dijauhi oleh khalayak. Oleh karena itu, seorang ustadz harus mampu menggunakan bahasa yang mampu menggugah hati pendengarnya untuk mengikuti setiap ajakan yang disampaikan oleh ustadz tersebut. Namun kenyataan yang terlihat selama ini, masih cukup banyak ustadz yang menggunakan bahasa yang menggunjing pendengar dalam melakukan dakwahnya. Umumnya ustadz paling sering menggunjing kaum perempuan sebagai makhluk yang paling bersalah di dunia. Padahal, kenyataan yang terlihat tidak selamanya perempuan lebih banyak melakukan kesalahan, sebab tidak sedikit juga kaum laki-laki yang berbuat kejahatan. Seharusnya, ustadz harus menggunakan bahasa persuasif agar pendengarnya dapat tergugah untuk mengikuti setiap ajak yang disampaikannya. Bahkan Rasululah Saw sendiri tidak pernah berdakwah dengan menghujat, melainkan beliau berdakwah menggunakan bahasa yang indah dan santun.
